About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Manager to join our team at Agilent Technologies. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of marketing strategies for our GPC Columns and Standards product lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies: Design and implement marketing strategies to establish, enhance, or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena.
  • Product Development and Launch: Interface with engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams to develop new products and ensure smooth new product or product line introductions.
  • Product Life Cycle Management: Manage product offerings through the entire product life cycle, from development to launch and beyond.
  • Competitive Analysis: Conduct competitive analysis to determine product positioning, market segmentation, channel mix, pricing, volume, product service/support strategy, and identify customer needs.
  • Product Definition and Solution Planning: Develop product definitions and solution plans designed to address customer needs and/or expand market share.
  • Business Opportunity Evaluation: Evaluate business opportunities to define and optimize the product portfolio through analysis and in-depth understanding of targeted markets, market trends, customer business issues, and the competitive environment.
  • Customer Collaboration: Collaborate with customers and/or third parties to define product requirements for new products or extensions to existing products.
  • Commercialization Planning: Develop commercialization plans to support new product and workflow introductions, including the creation of compelling market campaigns and collateral that highlight our differentiation and unique value propositions.
  • Marketing Materials Creation: Create product-specific marketing materials, such as brochures, videos, and webinars, in close collaboration with Marketing Communications, and support our digital marketing activities.
  • Global Sales and Service Enablement: Develop close relationships with our global sales and service teams and enable them with training and compelling customer-facing content.
  • Business Review and Reporting: Conduct cadenced business reviews to divisional senior management that provide insight to business results, obstacles, and opportunities.
  • Technical Content Creation: Present technical content at conferences, symposiums, and customer sites.
  • Culture Contribution: Contribute to a successful One Agilent culture where teamwork, respect, and trust are our keys to continued success.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Advanced Degree with a focus in chemistry or other sciences or engineering fields preferred.
  • Experience: 4+ years of relevant work experience in chromatography, product management, marketing, and/or sales with a focus on delivering customer solutions.
  • Knowledge and Skills: In-depth understanding of Chromatography principles, products, markets, and applications. Proven ability to independently set priorities based on alignment with business goals and strategic direction, define timelines, and deliver to commitments. Ability to distill complex technology and scientific information into clear marketing messages and presentations to non-expert audiences. Ability to travel worldwide as required, up to 25% of the time, to drive business outcomes.
