About the Role
As a Logistics Manager at Agilent, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless processing of in- and outbound shipments. You will lead a team of Logistics Process Engineers and Business Admin personnel, collaborating closely with Logistics Service Providers and the Warehouse Service Provider that operates the Logistics Center.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise up to 5 team members
- Maintain a set of efficient and effective transportation processes for RLC-E as part of Agilent's overall transportation network, ensuring high-quality delivery to customer needs
- Closely collaborate and effectively communicate with all internal and external partners
- Have profound knowledge about main shipping modes, including Air, Sea, Road, Express, and In-Night services
- Have solid knowledge about Import and Export and transportation of Dangerous Goods
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration/Logistics, plus related experience as a manager, supervisor, and/or individual contributor
- Several years of practical experience in a similar position, including people management
- Be a strong and strategic negotiator, able to successfully manage a major portfolio of freight forwarders, with a proven track record of significant cost-saving initiatives
- Have a continuous improvement mindset, with a proven ability to lead related projects and put strategy into tactical plans
- Be self-motivated and self-driven, with excellent communication and presentation skills
- Have experience with MS Office Products and ideally with ERP-System SAP
- Have business-fluent German and English
