At Databricks, we're revolutionizing the way businesses work with data. As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in helping our customers solve complex data challenges and drive informed decision-making.

Your Mission:

  • Develop strong relationships with clients across your assigned territory, providing technical and business value in collaboration with an Account Executive and a Senior Solutions Architect.
  • Deliver hands-on evaluations and Spark programming, integrating with the wider cloud ecosystem and 3rd party applications, to excite clients about Databricks.
  • Contribute to building the Databricks technical community through engagement at workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.
  • Become a trusted advisor on Big Data Analytics, providing expertise on architecture and design.
  • Support customers by authoring reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications.
  • Develop both technically and in the pre-sales aspect, with the goal of becoming an independently operating Solutions Architect.

What We're Looking For:

  • Familiarity with client-facing work, creating narratives, answering customer questions, and achieving tangible outcomes.
  • Ability to independently deliver a technical proposition, identify customers' pain-points, and explain areas for business value.
  • Proficiency in core programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Knowledge of Big Data Analytics domains, with experience in advanced proofs-of-concept and major public cloud platforms.
  • Experience in solution architecture and design.
  • Professional proficiency in German preferred.
