Logistics Service Manager

Bergen Logistics is a leading logistics service provider specializing in fashion and lifestyle brands. Our European branch serves as the foundation for our growth ambitions across the continent.
The Client Service department acts as the liaison between our warehouse and customers (B2B). As an international organization, English is the primary working language. In this role, you will be part of the Client Service Team, reporting to the Sr. Project & Account Manager.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain Customer Relationships: Foster strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Customer Reception and Support: Receive customers and customs control staff on location, providing assistance and guidance as needed.
- Warehouse Liaison: Act as a link between customers and the warehouse, ensuring seamless communication and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Logistics Process Discussions: Engage in regular conversations with customers to discuss logistics processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle various administrative duties, including data entry, record-keeping, and reporting.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Take on additional tasks as required to support the team and ensure the smooth operation of the department.
- Bottleneck Identification and Resolution: Identify and offer solutions to bottlenecks in the logistics process, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Import and Export Support: Provide support in the field of import and export to and from the Netherlands, handling various customs documents, including:

- Origin Documentation: Provide related Origin Documentation, including:

- Note: You will not be responsible for creating these documents yourself but rather gathering them from our clients to provide to our various partners (e.g., customs).
- Education and Experience: You must have at least a MBO level, obtained through education and/or work experience in an equivalent position.
- Customs Experience: You must have demonstrable experience with customs matters, customs clearance, and the preparation of various export documents.
- Language Skills: You must have a good command of the English language, with Dutch being a plus.
- Logistics Experience: Preferably, you have experience within logistics, especially in the fashion industry (this is an advantage).
- Warehouse Affinity: Preferably, you have affinity with warehouse processes.
- Soft Skills: You must be enthusiastic, proactive, and decisive, with strong social and communicative skills.
- Flexibility: You must be flexible and able to function well both independently and in a team.
- Big Picture Orientation: You must be able to oversee the big picture and not be easily knocked out.
- Attitude: Last but not least, you must bring joy, positivity, and humor to the workplace.
