Role Summary
The Amazon Transportation Services organization is seeking a Capacity Planning Manager to spearhead and execute strategic, cross-functional management initiatives.

Location
This position is available in multiple locations across Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive process enhancement initiatives aimed at boosting operational performance.
  • Establish and uphold operational metrics, communicating them effectively to leadership and stakeholders through regular review meetings.
  • Document standard operating procedures and proactively share best practices across all departments and the network.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to garner support and resources for projects and initiatives within their domains.
  • Independently manage the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of large-scale projects.

A Day in the Life
As a Capacity Planning Manager, you will lead and manage the implementation of innovative, data-driven changes within Amazon, overseeing improvement initiatives. You will employ strategic thinking to create and execute an efficient project plan.

Capacity Planning Managers hold significant responsibilities, tackling complex challenges with creativity, innovation, and leadership. Beyond process improvements, you may also contribute to enhancing other business areas, such as diversity, equity, and inclusion.

About the Team
The success of Amazon relies heavily on the efforts of the Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team. As part of ATS, you will join a diverse group that plays a crucial role in our achievements. Utilizing air, sea, and road transport, along with state-of-the-art sortation centers, you will help ensure Amazon's transportation operates at peak efficiency. Our team harnesses data to inform decisions, driving innovation and efficiency within Amazon. We prioritize safety, recognizing that our people are our greatest asset, and we leverage their expertise to deliver packages swiftly, conveniently, and sustainably.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in collaborating and effectively communicating (both written and verbal) with senior management and various technology teams.
  • Proficient in data analysis, with expertise in SQL and strong knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience in problem-solving and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's or advanced degree.
  • Experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous environment.
  • Strong understanding of complex dependencies.
  • Familiarity with Python or R, proficiency in Excel, and some knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
