Senior Java Developer

We are looking for a skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team at ING Deutschland. As a key member of our Developer Community, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our mobile banking app.

Your Responsibilities
  • Design and implement robust APIs using Java and Kotlin, ensuring seamless communication with our customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to specify new APIs in Open API and coordinate with consumers.
  • Migrate existing content to Spring Boot applications with OpenShift and Azure DevOps, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Contribute to code reviews, integration tests, load tests, and specialist test support to ensure the highest level of security.
  • Work closely with your team to discuss new requirements, optimize development processes, and analyze incidents in production and testing.
  • Participate in feature squads to develop new and further developments with a mobile focus, finding optimal and efficient solutions.
Your Profile
  • At least 8 years of development experience.
  • Degree in (business) informatics, IT-specific training, or a comparable qualification.
  • Sound knowledge of common Java APIs and frameworks, as well as (a-)synchronous communication protocols.
  • Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Spring Reactive, Open API, Resilience4j, and Azure DevOps.
  • Interest in container technologies and microservice architectures.
  • Practice in agile methods and complex projects.
  • Understanding of banking and technical processes, as well as conceptual skills and technological expertise.
  • Good written and spoken German and English.
