Who are we?

The Reservation division is the core of Amadeus, encompassing 30 applications, including numerous backends, frontends, and big data solutions.

We are currently in the process of migrating all applications to the public cloud, introducing new products on cloud-native architectures, while continuing to support legacy systems. This transition has created a significant demand for a cross-functional team.

We are the RES Engineering Experience team, part of the REvolutionSSAFe Agile Release Train.

Our Mission:

We aim to address the department's cross-functional needs by supporting cloud migration, enhancing the engineering experience, guiding the DevOps transformation, and ensuring reliability for the reservation platform.

We manage the CI/CD ecosystem for our division, utilizing Wall-E and Bird workflows, the Forge (our official Azure hosting solution), and the RES Azure landing zones along with OpenShift clusters as part of our delegation model.

Position Summary:

  • DevOps Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps and Platform as a Service (PaaS) teams to optimize operations, automate workflows, and ensure effective resource management.
  • PaaS Management and Automation: Deploy, configure, and oversee PaaS solutions with a strong focus on automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to facilitate continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor application performance, engage in incident resolution, and assist in troubleshooting, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and reliability.
  • Cost Optimization and Financial Operations (FinOps): Enhance resource utilization, monitor cloud spending, analyze cost data, and contribute to efficient cloud resource management in line with DevOps principles.
  • Documentation and Security Compliance: Maintain thorough documentation of configurations, processes, and security protocols for PaaS solutions, ensuring compliance with standards and promoting collaboration across DevOps teams.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in IT operations.
  • Basic understanding of containerization, cloud computing, and PaaS solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a desire to learn.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
