We are seeking a Senior Engineer for Thermal Systems at Uniper.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects related to maintenance and inspection activities concerning thermal systems and auxiliary equipment for conventional power generation facilities.
  • Conduct fault diagnostics, document findings, assess damages, and provide technical recommendations for our assets.
  • Draft technical specifications while adhering to regulatory and legal standards during the tendering process, and analyze technical proposals, including participation in contract negotiations.
  • Oversee all phases of projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budgets, while coordinating with specialized departments involved in the projects.
  • Collaborate in interdisciplinary teams to conduct feasibility and economic studies aimed at optimizing and upgrading existing facilities.
  • Execute factory acceptance tests at manufacturers both domestically and internationally as part of project-specific quality assurance plans.

Candidate Profile

  • A degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, materials science, power plant technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive professional experience in the maintenance and revision management of thermal systems and associated auxiliary equipment in power generation.
  • Proficient in navigating and implementing legal and regulatory requirements, including providing technical support for operational documentation.
  • Strong understanding of occupational health and safety standards.
  • Preferably knowledgeable in the assembly and commissioning of thermal systems and auxiliary boilers, as well as welding techniques.
  • Experience in managing projects within multicultural teams.
  • A structured, cost-effective, and customer-focused approach to work, complemented by strong teamwork abilities.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken German and English.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
