Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Worker/Social Educator to join our team at Bremerhaven. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing social work services to children and families in need.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and address the needs of children and families, including those at risk of abuse or neglect.
- Develop and implement individualized plans to support children and families, including providing counseling, education, and advocacy.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including healthcare providers, educators, and law enforcement, to ensure comprehensive support for children and families.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to children and families in crisis, including those experiencing domestic violence or other forms of trauma.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and organizations to ensure access to necessary services and support.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on best practices and research-based interventions.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work or related field.
- Experience working with children and families, particularly those at risk or in crisis.
- Strong assessment and intervention skills, including crisis intervention and trauma-informed care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
