Position Overview
The Risk division plays a crucial role in safeguarding the Bank's interests. With a comprehensive mandate for overseeing credit, market, operational, and reputational risks, we possess a unique perspective that enables us to assess our operations and client relationships holistically.
Leveraged Lending is a specialized asset class governed by ECB regulations, necessitating tailored risk management strategies. This area requires rigorous due diligence and monitoring protocols, including the application of a specific scorecard for internal rating assessments.
In alignment with Deutsche Bank's strategy to provide Leveraged Lending solutions to large and medium-sized enterprises across Europe, the CRM Leveraged and Structured Finance team is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to enhance its European operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of new Leveraged Finance transactions, including Leveraged Buyouts, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) financing, Best-Effort transactions, and other related requests.
- Evaluate and authorize requests for foreign exchange, interest rate, and commodity derivatives, as well as transaction banking products.
- Review credit reports throughout the credit lifecycle, providing detailed recommendations and approvals, and presenting significant transactions to the Underwriting Committee.
- Make credit decisions within the designated authority limits.
- Engage in ongoing portfolio monitoring while ensuring data accuracy within Deutsche Bank's technology systems.
- Lead or participate in various internal initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and supporting Deutsche Bank's strategic goals.
- Assist in managing interactions with internal and external auditors and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications and Skills
- A degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Extensive experience in Leveraged Finance and/or Structured Finance sectors.
- Exceptional analytical capabilities, including expertise in Leveraged Loan and High Yield structuring, financial modeling, and a solid grasp of derivative instruments.
- Strong ability to independently make informed credit decisions.
- Proficient in processing complex data swiftly and making well-founded credit decisions.
- Thorough understanding of Leveraged Lending policies and procedures applicable in banking environments.
- Ability to thrive under pressure while managing multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and German.
