Payroll Accountant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Accountant to join our team at h&z. As a Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for handling monthly payroll accounting tasks, providing guidance to employees and managers on payroll tax and social security matters, and ensuring compliance of payroll-related processes with legal and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently handle monthly payroll accounting tasks, including data entry, calculations, and reconciliations.
- Provide expert guidance to employees and managers on payroll tax and social security matters, including compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Ensure that payroll-related processes are in compliance with legal and company standards, including data protection and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with financial accounting and relevant authorities to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll-related transactions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll accounts, personnel records, and master data.
- Support payroll tax and social security audits, including preparation of necessary documentation and communication with relevant authorities.
- Contribute to the enhancement and streamlining of payroll processes, including process improvements and automation.
Requirements:
- Completed apprenticeship as an assistant tax consultant.
- 2-3 years of experience in payroll accounting, payroll tax, and social security law.
- Proficient in DATEV wage and salary accounting.
- Solid MS Office skills, particularly in Excel.
- Strong numerical aptitude, organized, and reliable work ethic.
- Fluent in written and spoken German, with good English proficiency.
- Highly self-motivated, responsible, and a team player.
