Job Title: React Front-End Developer

We are seeking a skilled React Front-End Developer to join our team at VOXELGRID GmbH in Munich. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining user interfaces for our web applications, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain user-facing features using React and JavaScript.
  • Design and implement UI/UX components and layouts that enhance the user experience.
  • Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
  • Translate design concepts and wireframes into high-quality code.
  • Optimize components for maximum performance across a wide range of web-capable devices and browsers.
  • Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Start new projects and contribute to the planning and development phases.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications and designs remain cutting-edge.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a React Front-End Developer with a strong portfolio showcasing development skills.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
  • Thorough understanding of React and its core principles.
  • Experience with popular state management workflows (such as Redux or Context API).
  • Solid understanding of design principles, including layout, typography, color theory, and user-centered design.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, and Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token.
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with TypeScript.
  • Knowledge of front-end performance optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library).
  • Experience with responsive and mobile-first design.
  • Understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
  • Understanding of Progressive Web Apps (PWA).
  • Knowledge about WebGL.
