Senior Project Manager, Procurement and Supply Chain

Position Overview

As the Senior Project Manager for Procurement and Supply Chain transformation at HelloFresh International, you will be instrumental in enhancing the Procurement and Supply Chain functions. Your role will encompass leading and managing significant projects focused on strategic cost efficiencies and driving organizational transformations that have a direct impact on EBIT/COGS and FCF.

Your collaboration with various HelloFresh geographies, distribution centers, and finance teams will be essential as you oversee the successful implementation of improvement initiatives across multiple regions, including Europe and Australia-New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and execute impactful, cross-functional projects throughout the entire value chain: define project scope, improvement opportunities, objectives, and project plans aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Spot spend optimization opportunities across Direct and Indirect categories in collaboration with the Strategic Procurement function. Implement innovative cost-reduction strategies while ensuring quality standards are upheld.
  • Analyze and enhance inventory management, working capital, and operating cash flow.
  • Identify and assess efficiency levers and areas for enhancement within HelloFresh's existing processes, markets, vendor relationships, and expenditures.
  • Work collaboratively with diverse teams, including Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and Quality Control, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to evaluate key performance indicators and prepare insightful reports for senior management to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Encourage effective communication and collaboration to ensure the seamless execution of business objectives.
  • Provide dynamic leadership, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Travel Requirements: Up to 30% of the time.

Qualifications

  • A strong academic background with a degree from a reputable institution (preferably in Engineering or Business).
  • Over 6 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or within a top-tier consulting firm, complemented by international multi-project management experience in fast-paced, consumer-driven industries.
  • Proven ability to implement metrics that enhance efficiency, measure performance, and reduce costs, combined with a practical mindset and strategic thinking.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing senior stakeholders across diverse groups.
  • Exceptional project management and communication skills, with experience leading cross-functional and multi-site project teams.
  • Strong analytical skills, including data analysis and root cause analysis, along with the ability to structure complex improvement projects.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to 30%).
  • Fluent in business English; proficiency in German and other European languages is advantageous.
