Data Analytics Intern with Focus on Database Design

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analytics Intern with a focus on database design to join our team. As a key member of our analytical database development team, you will be responsible for developing data loading and transformation procedures in R, SQL, and Java.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop data loading and transformation procedures in R, SQL, and Java
  • Support the development and related tasks of our analytical database
  • Implement and monitor automated test runs
  • Analyse and validate results using SQL, R, or Excel
Your Profile

We are looking for a candidate with a strong foundation in computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, data science, or related fields. Additionally, you should have a high degree of motivation to learn new technologies and a hands-on problem-solving mentality.

  • Studies in computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, data science, or related fields
  • Ability to work full-time for 3 months with an option to extend in part-time
  • Understanding of actuarial figures, e.g. IFRS P&L, PVFP, VNB, or other SII KPIs, is a plus
  • High degree of motivation to learn new technologies and a hands-on problem-solving mentality
  • Profound knowledge and experience in SQL and R, Java skills are an additional asset
  • Confidence in use of Excel and MS Office 360 tools
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organization skills
