Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analytics Intern with a focus on database design to join our team. As a key member of our data analytics team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data loading and transformation procedures, supporting the development of our analytical database, and analyzing and validating results using SQL, R, or Excel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data loading and transformation procedures in R, SQL, and Java
  • Support the development and related tasks of our analytical database
  • Implement and monitor automated test runs
  • Analyze and validate results using SQL, R, or Excel

Requirements

  • Studies in computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, data science, or related fields
  • Ability to work full-time for 3 months with an option to extend in part-time
  • Understanding of actuarial figures, e.g., IFRS P&L, PVFP, VNB, or other SII KPIs, is a plus
  • High degree of motivation to learn new technologies and a hands-on problem-solving mentality
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in SQL and R, Java skills are an additional asset
  • Confidence in use of Excel and MS Office 360 tools
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organization skills
