Position Overview: As the Lead Engineer for Advanced Quality Assurance, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and maturity of modules throughout various project phases. You will be accountable for achieving the defined maturity levels for project milestones across multiple product lines. Your role will involve overseeing product traceability and managing special characteristics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and oversee quality requirements at the module level for various product lines.
  • Ensure alignment of module maturity levels and adherence to project milestones.
  • Define and implement process standards for INEOS production and component suppliers in collaboration with module team partners.
  • Set product standards at the module team level.
  • Evaluate, align, and manage quality deviations.
  • Support and monitor quality-related KPIs (e.g., supplier nominations, engineering releases).
  • Coordinate gap and flush activities within the module team.
  • Ensure the definition and documentation of special characteristics in accordance with automotive standards.
  • Drive efforts to meet warranty targets at the module level.
  • In cases of maturity deviations, escalate issues and define corrective actions in collaboration with engineering and SQE partners.
  • Lead the failure elimination process during the prototype phase at the module level.
  • Escalate issues if quality milestones or targets are not achieved.
  • Assess quality risks from Design FMEA and ensure action plans are in place; participate in D-FMEA workshops.
  • Collaborate with engineering and measurement technology to create gauge concepts at the module level.
  • Develop internal quality samples as master samples and document internal quality standards in partnership with manufacturing quality.
  • Assist in preparing and releasing product reviews for quality-relevant topics at the module level.
  • Track project quality targets and implement necessary corrective actions in case of deviations.
  • Conduct lessons learned sessions for new projects at the module level.

Qualifications:

  • Technical degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Over 5 years of experience in Advanced Quality Planning (APQP) and/or Maturity Management (VDA) within OEM or Tier-1 supplier module teams.
  • Extensive experience with quality methods (FMEA, SPC, PPAP, 8D, etc.).
  • Proven track record in product and process standards.
  • Experience leading cross-functional change management projects.
  • Strong project management skills with a history of successful delivery.
  • Good understanding of product liability law and functional safety.
  • In-depth knowledge of special characteristics.
  • Thorough understanding of norms and customer requirements.
  • Excellent command of English; proficiency in German is a plus.
  • Strong assertiveness, diplomacy, and moderation skills.
  • Team player with exceptional communication skills to influence decisions.
  • Proficient in MS Office and SAP.
  • Willingness to travel for business purposes.
