Position Overview: As the Lead Engineer for Advanced Quality Assurance, you will be pivotal in ensuring the quality and maturity of various product lines throughout their project phases. You will be tasked with achieving the established maturity levels for project milestones and ensuring product traceability, including special characteristics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and oversee quality requirements at the module level for multiple product lines.
  • Manage the maturity levels of modules, ensuring alignment with project milestones.
  • Collaborate with business partners to define and implement process standards for INEOS production and parts suppliers.
  • Set product standards at the module team level.
  • Evaluate, align, and manage quality deviations.
  • Support and monitor quality-related KPIs, including supplier nominations and engineering releases.
  • Facilitate gap and flush activities within the module team.
  • Define and document special characteristics in accordance with automotive standards.
  • Drive efforts to meet warranty targets at the module level.
  • In cases of maturity deviations, escalate issues and define corrective actions in collaboration with project partners.
  • Lead the failure elimination process during the prototype phase.
  • Escalate issues when quality milestones or targets are not achieved.
  • Assess quality risks from Design FMEA and ensure action plans are in place, participating in D-FMEA workshops.
  • Develop gauge concepts in partnership with engineering and measurement technology.
  • Create internal quality samples as master references, detailing internal quality standards in collaboration with manufacturing quality.
  • Assist in preparing product reviews and ensuring quality-relevant topics are addressed.
  • Track project quality targets and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Conduct lessons learned sessions for new projects.

Qualifications:

  • Technical degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Over 5 years of experience in Advanced Quality Planning (APQP) and/or Maturity Management (VDA) within OEM or Tier-1 supplier environments.
  • Extensive experience with quality methods such as FMEA, SPC, PPAP, and 8D.
  • Proven track record in product and process standards.
  • Experience leading cross-functional change management projects.
  • Strong project management skills with a history of successful delivery.
  • Good understanding of product liability laws and functional safety.
  • Thorough knowledge of special characteristics.
  • Excellent understanding of norms and customer requirements.
  • Proficient in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
  • Strong assertiveness, diplomacy, and moderation skills.
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication skills to influence decisions.
  • Proficient in MS Office and SAP.
  • Willingness to travel for business purposes.
