Entry-Level Convention Sales Coordinator

Position Overview: Convention Sales CoordinatorKey Responsibilities
  • Support the sales process for group accommodations and events
  • Foster relationships to ensure repeat clientele
  • Manage accounts for current customers
  • Prepare monthly updates for the Senior Convention Sales Manager
  • Analyze and assess clients' overall financial plans
  • Assist in generating quotes for new requests in collaboration with Revenue Management and the Senior Convention Sales Manager
  • Address inquiries related to events and room groups
  • Draft contracts and manage group bookings within the PMS system
  • Execute sales strategies effectively
  • Conduct on-site inspections
  • Finalize sales and transition to the Event Planning Team
  • Maintain records of personal group accounts in designated systems
Qualifications & Skills Required
  • Relevant experience in a comparable role and environment
  • Strong background in sales, ideally within the hospitality sector
  • Professional demeanor with a focus on customer service, teamwork, and excellent communication abilities
  • Possess a positive attitude, negotiation capabilities, and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Proficient in both German and English, with solid knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Familiarity with Opera software is advantageous but not mandatory
  • High level of self-motivation and initiative
  • Organized, methodical, and decisive work approach
