We are seeking a dedicated Product Safety Assistant (m/f/d) to enhance our Product Safety team in Germany.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the safe utilization of our products while maintaining compliance to uphold customer satisfaction.
- Independently prepare safety data sheets and manage classification and labeling in accordance with REACH and GHS/CLP regulations.
- Classify dangerous goods following ADR/RID/ADN, IMDG, and IATA-DGR standards.
- Evaluate and implement marketability restrictions due to regulatory limitations, including Dual Use considerations.
- Oversee master data management utilizing SAP BOne Hana.
- Manage the inventory of substances effectively.
- Provide consultation to both internal and external stakeholders on product stewardship matters.
- A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field; experienced professionals in product stewardship are also encouraged to apply.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in product stewardship and/or regulatory affairs.
- Comprehensive understanding of CLP regulations, UN-GHS, and the preparation of EU safety data sheets.
- Proficient in software applications, particularly SDS compilation software (preferably CHEMDOX), SAP BOne Hana, and MS Office.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; proficiency in German is a plus.
- Strong dedication to environmental, health, safety, and sustainability principles.
- Ability to present convincingly and work collaboratively within a team.
