Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Management and Procurement Lead to join our team. As a key member of our energy management team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of energy customers, developing and implementing procurement strategies, and analyzing market trends to optimize our energy trading activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Management: Structure and manage a fast-growing portfolio of energy customers with varying energy demands and capabilities.
  • Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement long-term energy procurement strategies, evaluating and further developing position and hedging methods to minimize risks and maximize returns.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor and analyze European energy market developments to identify new opportunities for product development and risk mitigation.
  • Risk Management: Support our risk management team in identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with energy trading activities.
  • Procurement Channels: Explore and implement new procurement channels and products to expand our activities to new partners, markets, and countries.
  • Trading Operations: Monitor and optimize daily business processes in electricity trading, from forecasting and bidding to settlement.
Requirements
  • Education: University degree in a relevant field, such as energy, finance, or economics.
  • Experience: Several years of experience in portfolio management, risk management, and/or commodity trading.
  • Skills: In-depth knowledge of European energy markets and trading, excellent MS Office skills, and experience with programming languages (Python, Java, R, etc.).
  • Language: Fluency in English, with any other language being a plus.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to make quick decisions, and a hands-on mentality.
