Strategic Procurement Lead

Your mission

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Strategic Procurement Lead to join our procurement team at Sungrow - EMEA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of indirect goods and services that support our operations. This includes categories such as office supplies, IT services, marketing materials, and other indirect expenditures. The Strategic Procurement Lead will create and execute procurement strategies, negotiate contracts, and cultivate vendor relationships to ensure optimal value for the organization.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies: Design and execute strategies for the procurement of indirect goods and services to achieve cost-effective purchasing. Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement initiatives to reduce expenses.
  • Vendor Management: Identify, assess, and manage relationships with suppliers and service providers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. Mitigate risks associated with procurement processes.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including Sales Operations, Service, Legal, IT, Marketing, HR, and Finance, to understand their procurement needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Supplier Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and quality standards.
  • Process Improvement & Stakeholder Collaboration: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in procurement. Work closely with departments such as Finance, Operations, and Legal to understand their purchasing requirements.
  • Budget Management: Oversee and track budgets related to indirect procurement, ensuring alignment with organizational financial objectives.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, spend analysis, and cost savings to senior management.
Your profile

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or a master's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Languages: Proficiency in German, English, and Chinese is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years in purchasing or procurement, with at least 3 years focused on indirect procurement. A proven track record in indirect purchasing and supplier management is essential.
  • Certifications: CPSM, CPP, CIPS, or Six Sigma certification is advantageous.
  • Skills:
    • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficient in procurement software and tools.
    • Strong financial and budget management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
