Introduction

Join our innovative Live & VoD Playout team at Seven Entertainment Group GmbH, where we develop and manage a cutting-edge, cloud-based system stack that supports over 300 live streams and VOD playout for our consumer platforms. We are looking for a talented Streaming Solutions Engineer to enhance our team.

This role offers a hybrid working model, allowing you to work primarily remotely within Germany. The contractually agreed place of work will be in the vicinity of Munich or Berlin.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, implement, and maintain video services at scale, leveraging modern cloud infrastructure within a dedicated team.
  • Analyze user, product, and business requirements to devise suitable technical solutions, utilizing a mix of proprietary and third-party technologies.
  • Develop innovative features that keep Seven Entertainment Group at the forefront of streaming technology in a fast-evolving industry.
  • Investigate the latest video standards, CDNs, DRM systems, and cloud services to identify and resolve issues.

Qualifications

  • Several years of professional experience as an Engineer in digital environments with an agile approach.
  • Proficiency in C and Go or similar systems-level programming languages, with a strong focus on writing high-performance, efficient code.
  • Experience with streaming protocols such as HLS, LL-HLS, MPEG-DASH, CMAF, and familiarity with DRM systems like Playready, Widevine, and FairPlay.
  • Knowledge of FFmpeg/Libav APIs and experience in maintaining Libav-based solutions in production, along with cloud technology experience, preferably AWS.
  • Fluent in English, with German language skills considered a plus.
