Senior Media Streaming Backend Engineer

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Media Streaming Backend Engineer to join our Media Streaming Team. This role will play a critical part in leading the development and optimization of our streaming technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Media Streaming Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing scalable media streaming architectures
  • Developing and maintaining high-performance streaming technologies
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless playback experiences
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Contributing to the development of our media streaming platform

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on media streaming technologies
  • Proficiency in Go and experience with additional programming languages such as Scala
  • Strong understanding of audio/video codecs, streaming protocols (HLS, DASH), and transport container technologies
  • Proven experience with microservices architecture, databases, and automated testing
  • Deep understanding of cloud-based platforms and infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform
  • Expertise in monitoring, analytics, and ensuring high availability of distributed systems
  • Familiarity with content protection and encryption technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
