The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales and Marketing Professional to join our team as a Segment Manager - High Temperature Insulation. This is an exciting opportunity to focus on the refractory market in Germany.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell and promote Etex's range of HTI products to meet area sales & revenue targets for the Business Unit and Division.
  • Target the refractory market, including steel and glass production factories.
  • SOURCE new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls, considering all communication mediums and routes to market.
  • Manage selected segmentation A customers with the ambition of nurturing growth in revenue and margin terms.
  • Collaborate with other segment managers to ensure alignment between customer value propositions and segment strategies.
  • Identify potential customer targets and be responsible for seeking out and building a pipeline of qualified opportunities. Ensure all pipeline activity is accurately recorded and updated within CRM.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure continued satisfaction with products, solutions, and services.
  • Key Account Management, developing trusting and sustainable long-term relationships.
  • Establish the technical and commercial needs of the customer to provide sustainable, competitive, and value-added solutions.
  • Work alongside the technical support team to build a comprehensive understanding of the company products to jointly offer appropriate and valuable solutions to the customer.
  • Be responsible for contributing to and developing sales plans to achieve sales goals, increase market share and securing long-term growth.
  • Track progress against targets on an ongoing basis & take necessary action to refocus efforts if targets are not being met.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role in the construction industry. Preferably someone with previous experience within the HTI business segment.
  • Ability to develop and sustain a strong professional network, and influence and develop solid working relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as effective prioritisation and organisational skills with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • A technical background would be advantageous, so if you have an engineering/technical qualification, this is desirable.
  • Willingness to travel within the region able to deliver on sales targets whilst working remotely.
  • Fluency in German and English language is a must.
