Radio Protocols Embedded Software Engineer

K-tronik GmbH is seeking an Embedded Software Developer specializing in radio protocols to enhance our capabilities in the radio and communications sector. This permanent role involves working on innovative projects that require expertise in embedded systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the project team to autonomously design, integrate, and validate C/C++ software components related to the LLC and MAC layers of radio transmission technologies.
- Analyze requirements specifications to develop and outline the architecture of software components.
- Implement software components in C++ based on the established design.
- Draft and modify test plans for LLC and MAC functionalities.
- Conduct and manage the execution of the defined tests.
- Enhance and expand requirements data within the DOORS database, utilizing both manual and scripting methods.
- Fundamental understanding of the ISO/OSI model for networking protocols.
- In-depth knowledge of Logical Link Control (LLC) and Medium Access Control (MAC) mechanisms.
- Basic familiarity with wireless transmission techniques.
- Desirable knowledge of Software Communications Architecture (SCA).
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Experience with Eclipse and Visual Studio Code.
- Familiarity with IBM DOORS Requirements Management; DXL knowledge is advantageous.
- Understanding of Software Configuration Management using GIT.
- Proficient in Python, Linux, and Microsoft Office, including Visio.
