Radio Protocols Embedded Software Engineer

K-tronik GmbH is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Developer specializing in Radio Protocols to enhance our projects in the radio and communications sector. This role involves working on innovative software solutions that are critical to our operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the project team to autonomously design, integrate, and validate C/C++ software components related to the LLC and MAC layers of radio transmission protocols.
- Analyze requirements specifications to develop and document the software component designs.
- Implement the software components in C++ based on the established designs.
- Create and modify test plans for LLC and MAC mechanisms.
- Execute the defined tests and document the outcomes.
- Enhance and maintain the requirements data within the DOORS database, utilizing both manual and script-based methods.
- Solid understanding of the ISO/OSI model pertaining to network protocols.
- In-depth knowledge of Logical Link Control (LLC) and Medium Access Control (MAC) mechanisms.
- Familiarity with wireless transmission technologies.
- Desirable experience with Software Communications Architecture (SCA).
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Experience with development environments such as Eclipse and Visual Studio Code.
- Familiarity with IBM DOORS Requirements Management; knowledge of DXL is a plus.
- Experience in Software Configuration Management using GIT.
- Proficient in Python, Linux, and Microsoft Office applications including Visio.
