Position Overview

The Global R&D Director (m/f/d) Sensing & Control is a pivotal leadership role at KYOCERA AVX Components (Werne) Holding GmbH, responsible for steering the global research and development initiatives in the Sensing and Control domain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and enhance the global R&D team, fostering innovation and aligning efforts with business objectives.
  • Establish and implement standardized development frameworks and processes.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of market trends and competitive landscapes to inform strategic planning.
  • Oversee R&D strategy, resource allocation, and multi-project management.
  • Enhance global structures and processes while ensuring local practices align with international standards.
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure timely completion of research and development initiatives.
  • Manage budgets effectively, forecasting to maintain alignment with company financial goals.
  • Facilitate intercompany development and present strategic technology and product roadmaps.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive management experience in R&D within industrial electronic systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of R&D processes, materials, and manufacturing in an industrial context.
  • Proven track record in multi-project management and financial oversight.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, with a minimum of 50% travel required.
