Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented PhD student to join our Research Group "Stochastische Algorithmen und nichtparametrische Statistik" at the Weierstraß-Institut für Angewandte Analysis und Stochastik. The successful candidate will work on a project focused on the development of new methods for analyzing and modeling rough volatility models, with a strong emphasis on stochastic analysis and rough paths.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement new methods for analyzing and modeling rough volatility models using stochastic analysis and rough paths.
  • Collaborate with our research team to advance the state-of-the-art in stochastic analysis and rough paths.
  • Contribute to the development of new research projects and initiatives within the Research Group.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Strong background in stochastic analysis and rough paths.
  • Excellent programming skills in languages such as Python or MATLAB.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
