Wir suchen einen motivierten und qualifizierten Kandidaten für eine PhD-Stelle in der Forschungsgruppe "Stochastische Algorithmen und nichtparametrische Statistik" am Weierstraß-Institut für Angewandte Analysis und Stochastik.
Die Stelle ist Teil des SFB/Transregio 388 und beinhaltet die Untersuchung des Zusammenspiels von rauer Analysis und stochastischer Dynamik. Zentrale Aspekte sind die Analyse von rauen Pfaden und deren Anwendung auf nichtlineare stochastische partielle Differentialgleichungen.
Die Aufgaben umfassen:
- Die Untersuchung der Signatur von Hawkesprozessen und anderer Sprungprozesse und ihrer Erwartungswerte.
- Die Ableitung von rauen Volatilitätsmodellen als Skalenlimiten von Sprungprozessen unter Zuhilfenahme der Signatur.
- Die Erweiterung dieser Methoden auf Regularitätsstrukturen.
Wir bieten eine enge Betreuung, eine familienfreundliche Arbeitsumgebung und die Möglichkeit zur Dissertation. Die Stelle ist auf 3,75 Jahre befristet und die reduzierte Arbeitszeit beträgt 29,25 Stunden pro Woche.
