About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to lead our team of Java Developers and contribute to the development of complex microservices in our agile team culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement highly scalable and complex microservices using Java and Java frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- Lead a team of Java Developers and take ownership of the development process, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements and develop innovative solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and tools, and make recommendations for their adoption in the team.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of distributed systems, service-oriented architectures, and RESTful APIs.
- Design and implement data processing pipelines using stream processing frameworks such as Kafka Streams, Spark Streaming, Flink, and Storm.
- Ensure the smooth operation of software build tools, continuous integration tools, and containerization platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of monitoring tools, logging systems, and authentication mechanisms.
- Communicate technical ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with Java and Java frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- Experience with distributed systems, service-oriented architectures, and RESTful APIs.
- Strong knowledge of technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Elastic Search, and stream processing frameworks.
- Experience with software build tools, continuous integration tools, and containerization platforms.
- Experience with monitoring tools, logging systems, and authentication mechanisms.
- Excellent communication skills in English; German would be an asset.
- Knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL data stores, with a good understanding of deployment and availability guarantees.
