About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our agile team culture. As a Senior Java Developer, you will be responsible for delivering highly scalable and complex microservices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement highly scalable and complex microservices using Java and Java frameworks such as Spring Boot.
  • Lead a team of Java Developers and take ownership of your work, maintaining a perspective of "You build it, you run it".
  • Explore different technologies and choose the best tools for the IT project, including languages, libraries, and platforms.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Java and Java frameworks, such as Spring Boot.
  • Experience with distributed systems using microservices and service-oriented architectures with RESTful APIs.
  • Sound knowledge of technologies such as Kafka, Spark, and Elastic Search.
  • Experience with stream processing frameworks, software build tools, and continuous integration tools.
  • Experience with Continuous Delivery and Containerization using tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift deployment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; German would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL data stores, with a good understanding of deployment and availability guarantees.
