In this position, you will become part of an elite team of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers dedicated to the ongoing development and enhancement of our globally recognized products.
You will play a pivotal role within our Product Development Organization as a Senior Development Engineer, focusing on Verification Strategy, Requirement Breakdown, and Specification Development for our advanced robotic initiatives. We view Verification as a crucial element throughout the project lifecycle, making you an essential member of the core team right from the Concept phase.

Daily Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement a comprehensive Design Verification strategy for product specifications, collaborating with System Engineering to develop, assess, and decompose product requirements.

• Draft or review/approve Design Verification protocols and documentation.

• Advocate for initiatives that promote robust design, including experimental design, transfer function development, and simulations.

• Lead and/or assist in cross-functional failure investigations and analyses, representing the development engineering function on extended product development teams.

• Mentor junior verification engineers on your projects, providing constructive feedback on engineering documentation, verification protocols, and reports.

• Collaborate with Reliability, Compliance, Hardware (Electrical and Mechanical), and Software teams for your projects.

• Assist in the preparation of regulatory submissions for your projects.

• Support Quality Management System (QMS) and/or Design History File (DHF) audits as the subject matter expert on your projects and assist with post-launch modifications.

Essential Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in robotics engineering or a related field with 2 years of relevant experience.

• Proven experience in applying or developing products according to System Engineering principles.

• Strong knowledge of Regulatory requirements concerning Design Controls and Design Verification.

• Industry experience in statistical data analysis.

• Proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with robotics or electro-mechanical systems.

• A successful history of contributing to complex medical devices.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in German.
