Your Role and Responsibilities
As a key contributor, you will have a significant impact by developing functional software for locomotive control systems and overseeing the hardware architecture at the forefront of technology. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire engineering lifecycle, from defining requirements to system design, implementation, and ongoing enhancements.
- Formulate functional concepts and delineate system requirements for both software and hardware.
- Design, develop, and validate PLC software applications tailored for locomotive control systems.
- Engage with hardware vendors to integrate various control components effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and departments to address integration challenges and solutions.
- Ensure that system development adheres to industry standards and railway regulations.
- Emphasize the reusability of your work outcomes in alignment with product and technical platform strategies.
Your Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline is essential.
- A robust understanding of control systems architecture and the integration of diverse control components is crucial.
- Extensive experience in PLC control systems and automation technologies is required.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities are vital.
- You are a collaborative team player with outstanding communication skills.
- Fluency in English is necessary, and proficiency in German is advantageous.
- Willingness to undertake occasional international travel (approximately 10%) is expected.
