Your Role at tonies:

The Strategy Team plays a crucial role in shaping the long-term vision and strategic direction of tonies. This involves pinpointing key strategic initiatives through comprehensive assessments of market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and internal performance metrics. You will be responsible for defining and refining our strategic roadmap while ensuring that our strategic priorities are executed in collaboration with senior leadership and their respective teams.

As the Team Lead for Strategy, you will guide the Strategy Team, serve as a mentor to your colleagues, and facilitate their professional growth. You will report directly to the Chief of Staff to the CEO and maintain a close working relationship with senior management. If you are a seasoned strategist with a passion for leadership and a desire to contribute to the ongoing success of tonies, we would like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying Strategic Initiatives: You will analyze market trends and competitive factors to identify and implement strategic initiatives that drive business growth.
  • Strategy Formulation and Execution: You will oversee the strategy formulation process, continuously enhance our strategic roadmap, and monitor the effectiveness of our initiatives.
  • Leading Strategic Projects: You will manage significant strategic projects that have company-wide implications, working with cross-functional teams.
  • Evaluating Business Opportunities: You will assess new business opportunities and develop robust business cases to support strategic decisions.
  • Team Development: You will lead the Strategy Team and be accountable for its ongoing development and performance.

Qualifications:

  • You possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, including leadership roles, preferably in top-tier strategy consulting, investment banking, or high-growth startups.
  • You have a proven track record in managing complex strategic projects and are knowledgeable about the consumer goods, retail, and e-commerce sectors.
  • You demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, problem-solving skills, assertiveness, and analytical thinking.
  • You are adept at managing diverse stakeholder groups, including senior executives, while maintaining a strategic perspective and effectively navigating change.
  • You possess excellent communication skills in both German and English and thrive in interdisciplinary and multicultural environments.
  • You are proficient in standard MS Office applications (especially PowerPoint and Excel); familiarity with Tableau is advantageous.
  • You are willing to work on-site periodically to foster effective communication and collaboration.
