Project Overview:

As a Development Engineer at K-tronik GmbH, you will be instrumental in the design and implementation of advanced control systems and computing solutions tailored for the aviation sector. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around the programming of FPGAs, alongside tasks related to commissioning, verification, and requirements analysis. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop PLD/FPGAs for embedded applications within the aerospace industry.
  • Translate technical requirements and specifications into effective digital circuit designs.
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure thorough verification of PLDs/FPGAs.
  • Document and communicate verification outcomes effectively.
  • Develop, test, and assess safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the creation of hardware-related software applications.
Required Qualifications:
  • Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in FPGA development using VHDL or Verilog.
  • Familiarity with tools such as ModelSim, Xilinx Vivado, RivieraPro, or similar.
  • Experience in developing safety-critical products in accordance with standards like DO-254, MIL-STD, ISO26262, etc.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and Matlab/Simulink.
  • Strong command of English, with basic proficiency in German.
  • Analytical mindset and a collaborative approach to work. Additional assets include:
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Tcl).
  • Experience in the aerospace sector, particularly with DO-254.
