Project Overview:

As a Development Engineer at K-tronik GmbH, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing control systems and computing solutions tailored for the aviation sector. Your primary responsibilities will center around the programming of FPGAs, alongside tasks related to commissioning and supporting verification processes and requirements engineering. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop PLD/FPGAs for embedded applications within the aerospace industry.
  • Translate technical requirements and specifications into effective digital circuit designs.
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure the verification of PLDs/FPGAs.
  • Assess, document, and communicate verification outcomes.
  • Formulate, test, and analyze safety concepts.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the development of hardware-related software applications.
Required Qualifications:
  • A degree in computer science, electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in FPGA development using VHDL or Verilog.
  • Familiarity with tools such as ModelSim, Xilinx Vivado, RivieraPro, or similar.
  • Experience in developing safety-critical products in accordance with standards like DO-254, MIL-STD, ISO26262, etc.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and Matlab/Simulink.
  • Strong command of English and basic knowledge of German.
  • Analytical mindset with a structured approach to work and a collaborative spirit. Additionally, experience in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Tcl) is advantageous.
  • Background in the aerospace sector, particularly with DO-254 standards, is a plus.
