Project Overview:

As a Development Engineer (m/f/x) specializing in PLD/FPGA, you will engage in the creation of control systems and computing solutions tailored for the civil aviation sector. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around coding FPGAs, alongside tasks related to commissioning and providing support in verification and requirements engineering. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop PLD/FPGAs for embedded systems within the aerospace industry.
  • Translate technical requirements and specifications into effective digital circuit designs.
  • Conduct design reviews and validate PLDs/FPGAs.
  • Assess, document, and communicate verification outcomes.
  • Formulate, test, and evaluate safety concepts.
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to support the development of hardware-related software applications.
Required Qualifications:
  • A degree in computer science, electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in FPGA development using VHDL or Verilog.
  • Familiarity with tools such as ModelSim, Xilinx Vivado, RivieraPro, or similar.
  • Experience in developing safety-critical products in accordance with standards like DO-254, MIL-STD, ISO26262, etc.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and Matlab/Simulink.
  • Strong command of English and basic proficiency in German.
  • Analytical mindset with a structured approach to work and the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Additional skills in scripting (e.g., Python, Perl, Tcl) and experience in the aerospace sector, particularly with DO-254, are advantageous.
