We are seeking an entrepreneurial Senior Manager Technology and New Business Development to identify and develop SCHOTT's business opportunities within the Medical / Life Sciences space. This role is part of a development program tailored for talents aiming to advance to new roles within 3 to 5 years through self-driven growth.

The program offers insights into various business areas, opportunities for networking and visibility at top management level. As a Senior Manager Technology and New Business Development, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities adjacent to SCHOTT's existing business, identifying strategic search fields for new SCHOTT business opportunities, and analyzing potential markets and applications.

Your Responsibilities

  • Developing new business opportunities adjacent to SCHOTT's existing business
  • Identification of strategic search fields for new SCHOTT business opportunities, and analysis of potential markets and applications
  • Team leader incl. budget responsibility in complex, international new business projects with demanding technological concepts
  • Conceptual development (business / sales / implementation models) for selected applications
  • Drafting of purposeful business plans for subsequent decision-making and operative implementation
  • Proactive cooperation with internal functional units, potential customers and external partners
  • Transfer of business ideas into the business units, and support in the development of strategies and concepts for the marketing and sales of new products

Your Profile

  • Excellent University degree in a technical/natural science/materials field with a doctorate (preferable) and additional business training with proven business track record
  • Strong business acumen paired with deep technological understanding
  • Several years of international experience in business/new business development department of a technology company or renowned business consultancy firm with strong technological focus
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills; experience in the compilation, evaluation and interpretation of market analyses
  • Entrepreneurial approach with strong commitment to teamwork
  • Knowledge of the technological trends in MEDTECH / Life Sciences markets and identification of innovative product ideas and business areas
  • Proven track record of successful cooperation in international projects as a member of a cross-functional teams, ideally project management experience
  • Fluent business English (written and spoken); German is a plus
