The Technical University of Munich (TUM) invites applications for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor position in Microwave Sensors and Sensor Systems.
About the Position
We seek an expert in the research area of Microwave Sensors and Sensor Systems with a focus on radar sensors and sensor systems across diverse application scenarios as well as RFID technologies, emphasizing the underlying wave propagation mechanisms and hardware concepts.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for research and teaching, as well as the promotion of early-career scientists. Teaching responsibilities include basic courses in the Professional Profile "Electrical and Computer Engineering" at Bachelor's and Master's level.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated initial scientific achievements and the capacity for independent research at the highest international level. A university degree and an outstanding doctoral degree or equivalent scientific qualification, as well as pedagogical aptitude, are prerequisites. Substantial research experience abroad is expected.
Our Offer
TUM offers a merit-based academic career path for tenure track faculty from Assistant Professor through a permanent position as Associate Professor, and on to Full Professor. The regulations of the TUM Faculty Recruitment and Career System apply.
