Position Overview
The Technische Universität München (TUM) is seeking applications for the role of Assistant Professor in Microwave Sensors and Sensor Systems. This position is a W2 fixed-term tenure-track professorship, with the potential for advancement to a tenured W3 role.

Scientific Environment

Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting cutting-edge research in the field of Microwave Sensors and Sensor Systems, particularly focusing on radar technologies and RFID systems.
  • Teaching foundational courses within the Professional Profile of Electrical and Computer Engineering at both Bachelor's and Master's levels.
  • Mentoring and supporting early-career researchers.

Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated significant scientific contributions and possess the ability to conduct independent research at an international level. Essential qualifications include:

  • A relevant university degree and an exceptional doctoral degree or equivalent scientific credentials.
  • Pedagogical skills and a strong commitment to teaching.
  • Considerable research experience, preferably acquired internationally.
