Daily Responsibilities
In this role, you will engage with potential suppliers to discuss innovative transformer designs tailored for electrolysis applications. Following these discussions, you will refine the specifications based on the insights gained. Your afternoon will involve reviewing transformer specifications prepared by Electrical Lead Engineers and collaborating with the simulation team to analyze how variations in transformer design parameters could impact specific customer projects. Additionally, you will participate in discussions with strategic procurement regarding the resilience of our supply chain for rectifier transformers.
Key Contributions
- Serve as the leading authority on transformer specifications, designs, troubleshooting, and supplier selection across the business.
- Assist in the development of new power supply concepts and support project execution teams in delivering customer projects.
- Contribute to bids and Front-End Engineering Designs (FEEDs) while establishing a globally standardized transformer specification process to facilitate business growth.
- Take ownership of related design tools and guidelines, requiring proficiency in Matlab.
- Possess adequate execution experience to aid project delivery for the entire primary electrical scope or assume responsibilities as an Electrical Lead Engineer.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in electrical engineering, with a strong emphasis on power engineering or power electronics.
- At least 5 years of experience in the specification, design, manufacturing, or commissioning of industrial power transformers.
- Experience in electrolysis or high-current applications is advantageous.
- Highly organized, dependable, and resilient.
- Proficient communication skills in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
