Electrical Transformer Specialist

About the Role

Siemens Energy is seeking an experienced Electrical Transformer Specialist to join our team in Erlangen, Germany. As a key member of our Sustainable Energy Systems team, you will be responsible for leading the development of transformer specifications, designs, and trouble shooting for our entire business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain transformer specifications and designs for industrial power transformers
  • Collaborate with simulation department to analyze and optimize transformer designs
  • Support the design of new power supply concepts and customer project execution teams
  • Develop and implement a worldwide standardized transformer specification procedure
  • Own and maintain related design tools and guidelines

Requirements

  • Master's degree or PhD in electrical engineering with a strong focus on power engineering or power electronics
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in specification, design, manufacturing, or erection and commissioning of industrial power transformers
  • Background in electrolysis or high-current applications beneficial
  • Highly self-organized, reliable, and resilient
  • Good communication skills in English, German is a plus
