Claims Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Consultant to join our team at Munich Re. As a Claims Consultant, you will play a critical role in managing claims in casualty and property insurance, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible service.
Key Responsibilities- Manage claims in casualty and property insurance, including examination of coverage issues and setting of adequate reserves.
- Investigate and implement loss mitigation potentials with the help of external experts.
- Directly interact with large corporate clients and brokers regarding coverage and indemnification.
- Regularly communicate with internal stakeholders on loss development and trends.
- Instruct external experts and monitor the quality of their services.
- Support the coordination of larger losses and events.
- Support Claims Managers with administration of claims, including file maintenance and payment processing.
- University degree and at least 2 years of experience as an insurance professional, including experience as a Claims Consultant or claims or accounting technician.
- Willingness to learn and work proactively and independently in a changing environment.
- Enjoy the challenge of legal and technical aspects of insurance claims.
- Solution and service-oriented attitude, confident demeanor, and high level of commitment.
- Advanced knowledge of Munich Re's claims systems and related software, or willingness to acquire such skills.
- Strong additional IT affinity or data-driven mindset.
- Very good English language skills, with additional languages a plus.
