Overview
The Vice President is tasked with establishing, nurturing, and sustaining robust connections with financial institutions across the APAC region, with a particular emphasis on Hong Kong. This role necessitates direct engagement with sell-side clients, including banks' trading desks and execution teams, as well as buy-side entities such as funds, asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, and insurance companies. The objective is to enhance trade flow from the APAC region by attracting new clientele, onboarding new exchange members, and contributing to regional sales initiatives and projects. Collaboration with the Eurex APAC sales team and global sales teams in Europe and the Americas is essential. The Senior Sales Manager will report to the Head of Business Development and Sales for APAC and the Middle East. Frequent travel is a requirement of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive sales initiatives by leveraging a comprehensive understanding of customer needs, operational processes, and business models to increase the adoption of Eurex's equity and index product offerings. Achieve success through three key dimensions: expanding distribution and trading activities, fostering trustworthy client relationships, and providing valuable customer insights to inform Eurex's product and service development. Develop and maintain critical relationships with both buy-side and sell-side clients to enhance product usage and garner support for existing and new offerings. Formulate both short-term and long-term sales strategies to broaden the company's presence in the region. Actively participate in industry associations and represent the company at relevant events and conferences. Assist in the creation and execution of regional and product-specific sales strategies with a focus on growth in Hong Kong and the broader APAC region. Engage in significant business development projects and initiatives. Maintain close communication with regulatory bodies in Hong Kong and other pertinent organizations. Possess a high level of understanding of capital markets, derivatives, and the regulations affecting the exchange and its clients in the region. This role requires regular travel to various Asian financial markets and Europe.

Qualifications:

A university degree accompanied by 8-10 years of experience in the international financial sector. Proven sales expertise with an extensive network and relationships within Hong Kong or APAC financial institutions, along with strong client relationship management skills. In-depth knowledge of derivatives products, clearing processes, and risk management practices. Excellent problem-solving abilities and integrated thinking skills with a focus on solutions. Strong presentation skills and a confident demeanor to effectively communicate ideas. Exceptional communication abilities, with proficiency in written and spoken English; knowledge of Mandarin or Cantonese is advantageous.
