Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Android Systems Architect to join our team at KPIT. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing Android-based systems and platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer requirements and identify next-generation platform needs.
  • Develop and implement platform, subsystem, and interface designs.
  • Identify and address gaps in AOSP code and platform requirements.
  • Design and develop system-level solutions using Hypervisor-based approaches.
  • Port and evaluate platform components on different SoC-based hardware.
  • Develop proof-of-concepts and sample code to demonstrate platform capabilities.
  • Implement quick fixes and workarounds to ensure smooth operation of development teams.
  • Design and develop end-to-end verification and validation for platform components.
  • Develop scripts and tools using m-script and Python.
  • Perform MIL and SIL testing, and generate code.
  • Develop and maintain Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines using Jenkins scripting.
  • Ensure process compliance and configuration management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in customer meetings.
Requirements
  • At least 8 years of experience in a similar environment.
  • Previous active participation in a production program.
  • Deep understanding of Android system architecture and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Android HAL, Services, and application development.
  • Knowledge of Linux-based embedded systems, BSP, and Linux internals.
  • Knowledge of Containers and Hypervisors.
  • Proficiency in C++ (11, 14), UML, Java, and design concepts.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure modules like lifecycle, persistence, and calibration.
  • Knowledge of CAN communication and Diagnostics.
  • Knowledge of IPC and communication protocols like D-BUS, MOST, EAVB, and SOME/IP.
  • Experience with all phases of SDLC and product development, and Agile development.
  • Optional: knowledge of AUTOSAR stack.
