Senior Android Solutions Architect

Position Overview:

As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for shaping the future of our Android-based platforms. Your expertise will guide the development and integration of cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly analyze and comprehend the existing container-based systems to define and implement future platform requirements.
  • Engage in requirement engineering, architecture design, and interface development for platforms and subsystems.
  • Identify discrepancies within AOSP code and platform specifications, executing design and development tasks, including patch creation for upstream contributions.
  • Design and integrate systems utilizing a Hypervisor-based methodology.
  • Evaluate and potentially adapt various SoC hardware solutions.
  • Develop proof of concepts and sample codes to validate theoretical approaches.
  • Implement immediate solutions to alleviate bottlenecks for teams, ensuring seamless development processes.
  • Establish comprehensive verification and validation strategies for platform components, including multi-stack and ECU interaction scenarios.
  • Generate scripts using m-script and Python for various applications.
  • Conduct MIL and SIL testing along with code generation tasks.
  • Possess a foundational understanding of Continuous Integration (CI) practices.
  • Develop Jenkins pipelines to streamline processes.
  • Ensure adherence to process compliance and configuration management standards.
  • Collaborate in a diverse environment and actively participate in client engagements.
  • Integrate software functionalities while providing technical support and collaboration across all software initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Proven involvement in at least one production program.
  • In-depth knowledge of Android systems, architecture, and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Android HAL, services, application development, and the Android build system.
  • Experience with Linux-based embedded systems, including BSP and Linux internals.
  • Understanding of containerization and hypervisor technologies.
  • Proficient in C++ (versions 11, 14), UML, Java, and design modeling tools.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure components such as lifecycle management, persistence, and calibration.
  • Familiarity with CAN communication and diagnostics.
  • Understanding of IPC and communication protocols including D-BUS, MOST, EAVB, and SOME/IP.
  • Exposure to all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • (Optional) Familiarity with the AUTOSAR framework.
