Our European hub serves as a vital business service center, customer solution center, and technical plastics sales office for the continent.

We are currently seeking a Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager (m/f/d) to enhance our team. In this pivotal role, you will operate within a global matrix structure, overseeing and advocating for all HSE responsibilities.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support to management and colleagues in executing occupational health, safety, and environmental initiatives.
  • Lead and independently manage projects, particularly those involving the planning and execution of HSE-related investment projects.
  • Develop and implement strategies for safe and legally compliant workplace design, including effective preventive measures for occupational safety and hazardous substance management.
  • Establish and pursue environmental and safety objectives.
  • Organize and conduct internal HSE training sessions.
  • Manage emergency response and analyze workplace accidents and safety incidents, documenting and evaluating results to identify necessary actions.
  • Coordinate and conduct internal inspections and workplace assessments, along with training on occupational safety and environmental protection.
  • Prepare and update risk assessments and operational guidelines, developing measures to mitigate hazards.
  • Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with headquarters in Korea to contribute to the global HSE roadmap of the Customer Solutions network.

Your Qualifications:

  • A degree in engineering, chemistry, safety, or environmental science, or a comparable qualification.
  • Certification as an HSE specialist in accordance with § 6 ArbSchG.
  • Several years of professional experience in occupational safety and environmental protection.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards, particularly DIN ISO 14001 and 45001.
  • Proficient in MS Office and relevant IT applications.
  • Fluent in both German and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
