Technical Manager Envelope Systems Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to join our team at Knauf. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for supervising the design, implementation, and maintenance of building envelope systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards for performance, durability, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement detailed designs, specifications, and drawings for architects, planners, and contractors
  • Leverage extensive knowledge of gypsum and cement-based sheathing boards to improve system reliability and efficiency
  • Develop a competitive landscape for exterior boards and identify methodologies for customer-specific and profit-margin-based product selection
  • Provide technical support and training to the sales team, including internal training to adapt team structure
  • Identify and engage potential customers involved in specific construction projects to secure specifications and contracts
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a successful degree in engineering with an affinity for business administration or a degree in business administration with technical understanding. You should have several years of consulting experience in business unit strategy, growth strategy, and program management, with experience in due diligence and the building materials/construction industry being an advantage.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and strategic abilities, coupled with a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset and excellent communication skills
  • A proven track record of working in specific projects, ideally with extensive experience in Gypsum Products & Systems
  • Excellent PC skills and willingness to travel globally (up to 30%)
