Information Security Governance Consultant

Position Overview:

As an Information Security Governance Consultant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and security of our IT operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and Management: Overseeing the implementation and monitoring of both technical and operational security requirements across various IT projects and daily operations.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensuring adherence to security policies and legal regulations.
  • Risk Assessment: Identifying and evaluating potential security threats, while developing effective strategies for risk mitigation and control.
  • Architecture Analysis: Reviewing and assessing existing IT architectures from both a technical and organizational perspective to enhance information security.
  • Consultation and Collaboration: Advising and working closely with internal teams and stakeholders on security-related matters.
  • Awareness Initiatives: Designing and implementing measures to enhance awareness and understanding of information security.
  • Conducting Audits: Performing information security audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A university degree in business, computer science, natural sciences, or engineering, or equivalent qualifications through relevant training and professional experience.
  • Extensive experience in information technology.
  • Strong knowledge of information security standards, particularly ISO2700X.
  • Preferred certifications in CISSP, GIAC, or ISO27001.
  • Proficiency in English and very good command of German.
  • A results-oriented mindset with the ability to think and act across organizational boundaries.
  • Confidence, persuasive communication skills, and the ability to assert oneself.
  • Strong teamwork capabilities.
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to recognize and assess economic relationships.
  • Flexibility, initiative, and willingness to travel.
