Job Title: Lead Buyer (m/f/x) IT Category

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Buyer to join our team in Munich, Germany. As a Lead Buyer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the IT category strategy and leading sourcing activities to secure the best value for our company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the IT category strategy in alignment with key stakeholders.
  • Lead and execute end-to-end sourcing processes (RFX) from specifications definition to contract finalization.
  • Demonstrate excellent negotiation skills to secure optimal commercial and contractual conditions with suppliers.
  • Monitor and manage relationships with vendors.
  • Ensure contracts are negotiated, established, and executed as per agreement.
  • Resolve performance gaps.
  • Establish contingency plans to prevent potential shortcomings of suppliers.
  • Responsible for overall category management, including supplier relationship management, performance monitoring, qualification of Preferred Suppliers, Third Party Due Diligence, and risk mitigation.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Procurement or related field/Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in Procurement.
  • Strong negotiation skills combined with contractual/legal knowledge.
  • Willing to enhance current knowledge through additional Procurement training/qualification.
  • Strong execution, reliability, and ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Proactive with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work accurately.
  • Flexible to take on ad-hoc tasks in response to changing priorities.
  • Thorough understanding of MS Office, SAP MM, eSourcing, and Procurement Suites.
  • Strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and a positive outlook.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and strong mindset to partner with the business.
  • Uphold high standards of integrity and intercultural competency.
  • Positive attitude with strong aptitude to create a positive environment.
  • Fluent in English, another European language is a plus.
